What's new ?
• 1.3b
- the application sends "All notes off" messages when "Stop" or "Quit" menu commands are selected
- the drums are now played in GM->GM mode
- no program name displayed in the drum channel
• 1.4b
- the application starts up faster
- program number displayed in the drum channel
- popup menus for options ("Play notes", "Allow prog change") on each channel number (not program name)
- the current configuration (ie programs and channel options) can be saved inside the opened MIDI file (in its resource fork)
- QuickTime Music can be used directly without the Midi Manager (with some limitations...)
- If you use the Midi Manager, AMP connects itself to the Apple Midi Driver (so you don't need to open PatchBay)
• 1.4b1
- drums are played on channel 10 when QuickTime Music is used
- kill the bug that made the application crashes when "prog change" messages were processed by QuickTime. Faster "all notes off" for QuickTime.
- the two "Direct to serial port" options have been removed (not enough reliable)
- New "Preferences" menu command & file. It is now possible to switch between MIDI Manager and QuickTime after the startup
• 1.5b
- some internal changes
- 'system exclusive' messages from the MIDI file are sent to the MIDI device
- remove the bug that might (I'm not sure) make the program crash after "Stop song"
- new "Fast forward", "Play fast",... commands (but Fast forward is rather slow !)
- the drawing of the window is a little bit different from the previous versions.
Things to do…
- improve the "Fast forward" (which is not very fast!)
- make the drag&drop work with folder of MIDI files
- send a GM Reset at the begining of a song
- set a defaut tempo for files that don't have any data about it
